“Je veux être Chateaubriand ou rien” is a documentation of the streets in the center of Athens around Marni Street which took their names from foreigners who were Philhellenes or members of the Movement of Enlightenment. It presents the way that the present situation and image of these specific streets relates or does not relate to those people and their ideas and investigates the process of name giving to the streets of Athens.
Beginning with the Victor Hugo street we make this documentation and we observe the history and the visual destabilization and gradual destruction of these streets.

Το Je veux être Chateaubriand ou rien είναι μια καταγραφή των δρόμων του κέντρου της Αθήνας γύρω από την οδό Μάρνη που έχουν ονομαστεί έπειτα από ξένους Φιλέλληνες και Διαφωτιστές. Προβάλλει τη συνάφεια που έχει (ή δεν έχει) η παρούσα εικόνα και κατάσταση των συγκεκριμένων δρόμων με τα πρόσωπα αυτά και τις ιδέες τους, ερευνώντας έτσι τη διαδικασία ονοματοθεσίας των δρόμων στην Αθήνα.
Με αφορμή τη Βίκτωρος Ουγκώ κάνουμε αυτήν την καταγραφή και παρατηρούμε την ιστορία και την οπτική αποσταθεροποίηση των οδών αυτών.
